NEW ZEALAND APPLES.
FAVOURED IN SOUTH AMERICA. (Br Talogranh.—Press Asaooiation.) Nelson, February 23. The first South American apple shipment was made this week. ■ Buyers could take ono hundred thousand cases, and aro prepared to pay as much for New Zealand apples, especially Nelson, here as for Tasnianian landed at, Monte Video, the reason being that the colour of tho New Zealand apple makes it a superior seller. Mr. Rowlands, an expert packer, xOtt Saturday wrapped and packed 200 cases of apples in twelve hours. _ This is claimed to bo a record, averaging seventeen cases an hour.
