Government and the Opposition . have agreed to the second reading of tlio Children's Employment and School Attendance Bill, which raises the school ago to fifteen, abolishes tho half-time scholar under thirteen years of age ; and exempts those abovo that ago conditionally oh their onteriug some beneficial employment. . Tho Bill does not allow street trading for boys and girls under seventeen and eigliteen , respectively, but boys under seventeen may be licensed if they_ attend a continuation school in the evening.
