Fisher, Minister of Customs and of Marine, does not intend to contest the Wellington Central scat at tho approaching Goneial Elections was brought under Mr. FishcrV notice by a reporter today. An allegation was also mentioned that an attempt was bejng niado'to find a seat in tho Dominion that Mr. Fisher could stand for in place of Wellington, Central, and amongst tho seats mentioned, was'Kaiapoi. "It is utter nonsense," Mr. Fislier said, referring to tlio statement. "I will stand for Wellington Central where I havo novor boon defeated. I have certainly no intention of leaving Wellington Central."
