AUSTRALIAN VISITORS. About sisctben of the Australian, team of bowlers will, pass through Wellington'en route to Sydney on Friday next, and the local centre is making arrangements to fill in .the time at their disposal pleasantly whilst they are ashore here. Tins will probably take the form of a motor drive and luncheon in the country and" a game of bowls in the afternoon (providing tho time permits). Mr. J. R. Roberts, secretary of tho Wellington Centre, lifts received a handsomo presentation frqm the Australian visitors as a marfc v of their esteem and appreciation for the manner in which'ho attended'to their interests whilst in Wellington. The presentation took the form, of a solid silver cigarI ens*, beautifully chased and neatly in- ! scribed, and a case containing amber ; cigar and cigarette-holders and" a silver matchbox. Since they have been in ' tho south, Mr. Roberts has receive'd a flattering letter from Mr Clark (the manager of the team), in which ho again expresses tho highest appreciation for ■ Mr. Roberts's many kindnesses to the team whilst; in Wellington.
