e— . .'■ TAYLOR'S DISPLAY HERE. •A. Taylor, the English billiardist, opened his Wellington season last evening at the Federal Club. Conceding the club's best jlayer 300 in 750, tho professional gave a very fine exhibition, and won easily by 167 points, the final scores reading—Taylor, 750; amateur, 553. After the game Taylor gave a wonderful display of fancy strokes, nearly all of which were ontirely new here. Tricks with pocolain eggs, skittles, and wine-glasses were prominent features. A largo number of members and friends, who were present expressed their hearty approval 'of the evening's entertainment.
