KARORI DEFENCE RIFLE CUJB. At Trenthniri on Saturday the Knrori Club iired the first match'of its/second series, over long ranges, 900 and 1000 yards. Tho conditions ' were tricky, in the extreme, light baffling winds causing marksmen to get all over the target. Top score for the day went to Rflmn. H. V. Crostoa-with 85, followed by Rflmh. A. Caldweil with 81. Bflman. Croxton this season lias been shooting in a very consistent manner, aM is now leading for the. club championship by G points frqn Rflmn. J.
