SOLWAY SHOW.
. Owing to the fact that the chief breeders in New 'Zealand will be competing at the Solway show, which 'is to-be, held on. February 17 ami IS, {more-than usual interest'is being taken in this popular fixture.. 'The grounds are in tip-top order, qnd, as" a number of improvements have been carried -out; since-the: last show, Solway will now bo.found to be a model show ground! Tire grounds.are particularly suitable foV picnic.purposes; and there is an abundance of bush and cool, running streams! 'The• show can be' made.a. gigantic picnic party, , hot water being supplied free by the association. Special, train arrangements have been made, and visitors can be taken,to and from■ "Sohvay at convenient hours. Residents of ■ other towns who desire , accommodation in Mastcrton during slio\Y week should'send a postcard or telegram to the'secretary (Mr; J. B..Emmott, P.O. box 40, Masterton), stating their requirements, and these will be attended to without further worry on the part of the inquirers. The ring events will' be a feature of this year|s show, and the champion jumpers of the North and South Island will be seen competing, against each other. There will be innumerable, sido shows on the ground, and plenty, to amuse young and old alike. The annual ram and ewe fair willbe> held on February 19 and.2o, for which 2800 entries have been 'received. ■ '
