A CITY NUISANCE.
r Sir,—Having already drawn the City Council's attention to a nuisance which exists in our midst, 'I would drav6 ' a small amount of your space to bring same under the notice of tlie Health Department. The nuisance is this, that Anderson Park still has an unsightly monument in the form of a large manure heap.- Now,; sir, does: the City Counoil ' think that ia playing the game to go 1 and pollute the only playground the children have :'ji'this district' with' this unhealthy .and objectionable matter? It is . also a blot -on 'tho of»the man who tho park- was Govei'nment wisely spent a lot of money to prevent disease; in■'connection with tho "specials'-' horses'at Buckle' Street during' .tlie strike. 1 Why 'not .the council do the : 'same? - Gold, as you know, nearly'foUnd there,' but if the present conditions are allowed 1 to remain, there'is' no doubt, about tlie 'park giving birth to a gold mine for the benefit of the'doctors'; Hoping, with your help, to shift'this nuisance.—l am, etc., '" ■ ' ■ M.
