A. deputation was received from the Seatouii Amateur Athletic Ciub, rogardlnp; the Seatojn Park. The council, Was asked to do -sotnetbing to put thp ground in better order. It was stated that owing to the coiulition of the srajmd the club had been forced to hold , tiicir next meeting in town. The council had waited for three .voars to have something dom>. They estimated that for £50 a ground, which would ho a credit to tho Wouah* could, be obtained. The Mayor stated that he was in favour of having a suitable park. He suggested that "tho matter should be loft in the bauds of tlio council, and ho f-niiUl assure the drnutation that something suitable would be done before next season. A committee would .be sot up, siiid would ni-obably meet tho Athletic Club.
The Mayor reported that the Imrongh would be ready in a week or two to supply its own electrical power for the cars running over tlio Miramar. tramway lines.
