When Australia went to the wickets for their, second innings they required only sixty runs to win. Armstrong and Waddy opened, M'Carthy and Blamires bowling. At 24, Waddy was caught, and Hansford helped Armstrong in bringing up the half century, At 58 Ransford mis-bit a ball, but Noble made the winning hit. After the match was wau, the Australians continued playing, and Armstrong gave a great, exhibition of hitting, compiling 161 ia 108 minutes. M'Kenzie was very vigorous for 55, hitting 22 and 23 off two overs from Dunlop. . At the call of time the Australians had' scored 370 for nifta wickets.
