HINT TO NAPIER.
, —: -o —__ •' FINE HARBOUR POSSIBLE. ' (By Tel«eraiM.—Special Correspondent.) Napier, February ii. Interviewed hy a reporter before leav-' ing_ Napier this morning, Mr.' J. H. Estill, the' Commercial Superintendent of.the Port of London Authority, said: "I have been greatly impressed with the prospects of Ha.wke's Bay, and the beanties pi your -town; but I cannot understand'why you do not go on with that inner harbour of yours. Landlocked, and protected from winds/that stretch of water over there (pointing in the direction of tho Inner Harbour) would make a superb harbour. It seems a pity that you don't seem to realise what a godsend you possess in that natural harbour. A little dredging and that Inner Harbour would be one of the finest harbours.you could wish for, and this Would be a magnificent port for the east coast."
