In tho Assembly, Mr. Cresswell (Labour) moved an amendment to tOie Indemnity Bill 1 declining to condouo the deportation of citizens without a trial, and asking for a searching investigation by a commission, of which tho Chief Justice should be President. ' ■ Mr. Cresswell made a discursive attack on the Government which was unfinished, and which occupied tho sittiug. He accused the Government of being, in Icaguo.with tho mine-owners to irritate tho 'workers to a general strike. The Minister tabled a return dealing with thirty-eight secret outrages committed or attempted during tile crisis in January, including three explosions on the railway, twelve instances of dynamite < on ''railway' lines, and four dynamite/ explosions.
