The French Prelates have protested to the Popo against tho language used towards them by Father Sanba. • Tho latter was sent to France as an Apostolic visitor, without , tho knowledge of the Archbishop of Paris, and he deposed ■ tho Superior General of the Brothers of St. Vincent de Paul, on the ground of the weakness of his rule'. Tho members of the Order protested vigorously against the summary deposition o'f their Superior. Painful scenes marked the ceremony at which Father Sauba announced the decision. ' 3. nundred brothers have asked to he released from- the Society.
