President Huerta lias, invited *tho American journals to send reporters to Mexico to gain a first-hand knowledge of events. Ho is offering the reporters first-class passages and armed protection. He claims that ho has 150,000 of a regular army and 39,000 irregulars,- with which ho is starting a campaign to crush the rebels. » Mexloo City, February 6. The Government, tlio people, and the : press are ; maintaining a dignified reserve. A decree has been published increasing the strength of the regular army to 200,000. PLOTS AND COUNTER-PLOTS. (R-ec. February 8, 5.5 p ni.) Mexloo City, February 7. Reports plots and counter-plots keop the political situation in Mexico seething.. The latest discovery is a 'ccup d'etat to depose Huerta. Troops were placed so as to command the wholo of the city, and there was much excitoment. The measures thus takon prevented any outbreak. ,
