,THB "SUN" PUBLISHED IN. - CHRISTCHTTRCH. (By Telejrraph.-Speoiai Correspondent.) Chrlstohuroh, February 6. The new evening paper, the "Sun," made its first appearanco tin's afternoon. The first issue contains sixteen pages, and tho make up of the paper in many respeots resembles that of tho "Press." In the first leading article the Editor states that on political and social questions the policy of his paper will bo "broadminded and independent." Tho Editor is Mr. E. C. Iluio, formerly Editor of the Cliristohurch "Evening News," and the chairman of directors is Mr. Henry D. Acland, Eeform candidate for Avon, whilo another member of the board: is Mr. D. D.
