Mr, Clifton, tlio Now; Zealand Trade Commissioner, in an interview, .said lio favoured increased preferential tariffs between Canada and Now Zealand. He hoped l a lino of freight steamers from Vancouver to Auckland or Wellington would also bo established to develop the trade, of which there would pre* se'ntly be great possibilities.
