Mr. Stuart Robertson last night secufed tho recommittal of the motion, and moved an amended resolution that there bo no penalties in connection with industrial arbitration cxcopt for lockouts, and strikes. This-was carried by 101 votes to 15; and incorporated in the platform in lion of Monday's resolution. Resolutions were adopted in favour of tho appointment of femalo factory inand emphatically opposing compulsory vaccination. Mr. Griffith again failed to present himself before tlio Labour Conference, and thus allmv discussion on the motion censuring him for his alleged failuro to enforce Arbitration awards. A seotion of the delegates took the stand xliat tho Minister was flouting N tho conference, and after some warm exchanges it 'was resolved to send an urgent telegram to Mr. Griffith ratifying him'that the conference insisted'on his appearing before it on Saturday next and'explaining tho charges.against him. Ono of the delegates declared that it was useless sending a message to Mr. Griffith, who did not caro what,the conferenco did. . ' Another said he would mako him care, and a third-asked if tho cliairmafi would take an amendment to the effect that tho conference visit Mr. Griffith at the, mountains. ' The- chairman replied that there were enough Angora goats there already.
