NO I? AGIO MEETING!-THIS YEAR, The committee of tlici Wellington Motor Cycling Club, at its meeting last liiglit., Sir. (J. V. Tanner ' presiding, decided that .as tho tracks availablo arc unsuitable for tlio purpose, no m.co meeting will bo held this jear.. It was stated that tho machines now being ritltlcii were capably of nuicli greater speeds than the fastest- of those raced last year, and the recent fatality at Paliuerstoii Nttrtli had demonstrated the dangers of racing fin an ordinary trasic. The committee does .net favour the. idea of holding a mooting at Trent-ham during Carnival week, members expressing tho opinion that- tlie' posts and rails around the track would bo daiigcrotts with tjiii high speeds certain I<> bo attained.
