The Australian voter was a bigger power in the eyes of tho English legislators than the English voter. "It is a positive fact," he said, "you are the apple .of their eyes. 1 think one of the effects of my present tour will bo that the equipment of tho armius of tho Overseas Dominions will 'bo standardised, and tho drill made much the, same everywhere. Since my appointment as Inspector of the Oversea Forces three and a half years ago, I havo inspected nearly every garrison in the Dominions, and also the forces in Africa and Canada. I hope the iustraliau Minister of Defence is satisfied that he is receiving good valuo for good money, for mine will be a true report." ' . '
