A meeting of tho National Committee was hold in the morning, when a committee on association policy was appointed .* . to': which resolutions and business .papers will bo referred. The annual conference of secretaries was held in the afternoon., There was a very largo attendance in tho evening on the. occasion of a reception to • visiting delegates and contestants, .tendered byytho president of the Auckland branch (Mr. A. C. Caiighey) and Mrs- Caughey. In tho absence of the president, Mr. Stewart (vice-presi-dent; and Mrs.'-Stewart assisted Mrs. Canghoy in receiving the guests.
