A survey about 2 a.m. showed that the forward part of tho vessel had disupIpeared, and nt daylight it was seen that tho suspension bridge to the- rooks had. been swept' away, that two lifeboats had , boiMi smashed, and that ths motor launch was swamped About- 5 a.m. tho two men made- their way through .the surf, and bv tho aid of a line between tho ship and the shore gained tho rocks in' safely. It is said that thero will-bo iittlo salvaging to do whou y tho sea subsides.
