With that money 361 very handsome solid silver cups, all of one design, have been purchased through. Messrs'. Stewart Dawson and Co. and Frank Gradv, of Wellington, and Mesßrs. Kohn and Co!) of Auckland, Peterson, of Christchurch, and Mollor, of Dunedin. A number of these are now on view at the premiees of Messrs. Stewart Dawson and Co. and Mr. Frank Grady, of Willis Street. The cups, which were secured on order from London, are of antique Grecian design, with a deep pointed bowl, and double handles. Each cup contains 14J ounces of silver, and etands 8 inches high, on an oak plinth, 3 J inches' in height. One side of each cup bears the inscription; "N.Z. Cadets" (over crown and crossed rifles), "Ladies' Challengo Cup." The other side is left plain for the inscription of names of winners each year. Before- the cups were forwarded they wore-exhibited in Regent Street, London, and attracted considerable attention among thoße interested in defence matters.
