AUCKLAND ANNIVERSARY. Auckland, January 29. Anniversary Day was observed ae a close holiday, and, as the weather was fine, great- crowds attended. the Takapuna races, tho Exhibition, the annual regatta, and tho numerous pleasure resorts on tho ■liirbour and gulf.
