GREEN LIGHTS THROUGHOUT THE NIGHT.
(Rec. January 28, ll.Jo p.m.) St. Petersburg, January 28. The river Neva rose six and a half feet. It would have only required another six feet to flood the city. Guns were fired at the- fortresses and throughout tho night green lights were ilia played from the Admiralty tower to indicate tho extreme danger. Traffic was stopped on the bridges. Tho galo whirled 'nouses away, derailed wagons, and overturned pedestrians.
