Bartlett, of Christchurch, is creating considerable interest amongst Hawko's'Bay sportsmen. The pair have met once- previously at Wanganut, when the refereo gave the decision as a draw. On the present occasion both' contestants have undergone a thorough preparation, and there is every prospect of a keen and strenuous exhibition. Ireland will box at about list., while ]iis opponent will enter the ring very close to 12st.
