At a meeting of directors of the Parenga Giiinfields Co., Ltd., held in Wellington on Saturday, jt was decided to work this field on a sharing, basis, similar to dairying on shares. The diggers will bo paid part wages and take- a.share of the gum. This is quite rin innovation, and should prove very popular. The Company has already made' experiments in this direction, and they have proved quite succesful. 2000 acre's havo been' set aside for fruit-growing, and persons taking up ecctions will find the gum-disging on shares a great ndistance in providing them with an immediate- source of revenue.
