Patrons each day at tho Dannoviike District A. and P. Show will, apart from tho stock exhibits, have much .provided to interest them by tho various' competitions which will take place. On-tho first day thcro will bo ;i men's driving competition, single horso; a turning event, best paced hack, harness liorso "to bo shown in dogcart and a maiden hunters' competition, •in addition to which students of sheep and cattlo will havo an, opportunity of testing their judgment. On tho second day there will bo a.lndies' driving competition, pony jumping, 'harness liorso competition (open), an open hunters' event, and,others. Prizes of substantial value ihavo been allocated to each of these events. Tho greatest attention will bo paid to all stock entered at tho show, nud' special arrangements havo been juado tor a supply of green fodder. . Indications point to another record being /achieved, and thoso who want to atsisE in this should forward thoir entries to Mr. ¥. C. Stubbs, tho secretary, by AVednesday next, January,2Br Tho Honor of tho 10-guinea cup for best;paeod hack at the show is Mr. F. Arm- , strong, of Akitio, at whoso special suggestion the class was provided.
