During tho week live seamen from the steamer Zealandic were sent to gaol for absenting themselves without leave. Yesterday a seaman from the Ayrshire v'afl sentenced to a month's imprisonment with hard labour for assaulting an officer. To-day seven more seamen off the Ayrshire were before the Court at tho conclusion of the assault case. They had pone aboard and demanded that steps bo taken to release the man just sentenced and became so abusive that the. police were sent for.
