Under the auspices of the Social Democratic Party, Mr. W. T. Mills continued this series of addresses in the Opera House last, night, speaking on "Social Dcmocrac.y and the Government Stroke." Mr. Mills stated that "the Government, stroko was not characteristic of the social democracy, because social democracy had not yet ar>rived." He declared that all the organised activities of the State tended to put a premium on inefficiency. The present state of affairs, he contended, would not exist if social democracy had really arrived. During tho evening Mrs. Martin sang "Children's Homei" and the "Waterside Workers' Band' contributed various selections.
