The evidence of tiro police showed that the house of accused . had' been watched, and.dozens of were seen coming and going, and the clinking oF ijlasses could he heard from within. Quantities of. liquor wero also taken away in,motor-cars and cabs.' When the police searched the house n number «f young men were found there and.foveral scrambled through the windows.' His Worship iniposed a lino of C3!l c.n the charge of .allowing the premises' to be iised as a.place of resort, and entered a conviction on tho other cliarfj©, .Eight young men wero cachaned 20s. and costs for .being on the premises .when .the search was executed.
