Gibbons, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. J. Gibbons, of Haniamn, Takaka, the Rev. Common offlciatirip. Mr. D. Gibbs acted as;best man. and the Mistes Ilarpel and Joy Norriss. sisters of the bride, attended as bridesmaids. Mr and Mrs. Percy Gibbons are spending their honey- . moon at Takaka. .' ,■■'' '_. ■%■;■; CanferSury Wedding. .■'&» On January. 14. at St. Mark's Church, Opawa, Miss Eforenco Ruth Vincent, daughter of. Mrs. Vincent, wis married to Mr. Oscar W. Anderson, the Rev. H. Williams officiating. The bride, who was given away by lier brother, Mr. R, Vincent, was attired in ivory mousselene, draped with silk laeo and caught with orange blossom sprays. She wore a bridal veil and wreath, and carried a beautiful shower bouquet of white flowers and fern. The Misses Olive Vincent and Anderson were gowned in bridesmaids' frocks of apricot crepo do chine, with sashes of palest heliotrope ribbon. Their hats were of ivory silk, wreathed with heliotrope flowers, and they carried bouquets of apricot carnations and fern, tied with heliotrope streamers. Miss Lorna Saunders, who attended as flower girl, wore- a dainty little dross of white, with a mauve sash. Mr. V.. Anderson acted as best man, and Mr. Goldsbury as groomsman, Thechurch had been charmingly decorated bv friends of tho bride, and Mr. O'Donel Davis presided at the organ. After the wedding' a reception was held at the residence of the bride's mother, about a hundred guests being present. Mr. Vincent received in a handsomo gown of black satin and ivory lace, with a blade bonnet with mauvo flowers, a grey featner neck ruffle, and carried a bouquet of mauvo flowers and ribbon. Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Anderson left later fpr Rotbrua and Auckland, tho bride travelling in a costume of tussore silk, fin-, ishod with paisley silk, and a cream feathered bat, with feather boa to match. '"■' At St. Mary's Church, "Wanganni, on January 21, was celebrated tho wedding of Miss Jessie Young, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kiel Young, late of Melbourne, and formerly of Auckland, to Mr. Ivan John Mills, son of Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Mills, late of Blenheim. The- Rev. Dean Holly officiated. Tho bride, who was given away by her father, was gowned in whito moire, draped with .all-over lace, and her veil of Brussels net was fastened with clusters of orange blossom. Tho bridesmaids were attitred in whito silk and lace, with pretty mo*} caps, and carried bouquets of pin?; sweet peas. Mr. W. Wmblebum attended as best man. On Thursday last, at the residence of tho bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. Hornsby, Cobden, Louisa Mary, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hornsby, was .married to Miv Stanley J..; Davios, son of Mr. J. Davics, of Picton, the Rev. ifr. Ashcroft officiating. The bride, who away, by her father, was gowned j'n.ivory .poplin, trimmed with ~ silk lace, and wore a tulle veil and orange blo3spms,., She also carried, a shower bouquet. The Misses Margaret ■ Williams and Madgo Walker, niece of the bridegroom, attended ,as brides-' ; maids, wearing white embroidered frocks with black picture hats, si»id carrying pretty bouquets. . Tho Messrs T. Hornsbv, brother of tho bride, and J. Reynolds, acted as best man and groomsman. The bridegroom''.' gift to the bride was a handsome leather hand has:, hnd to the bridesmaids a bangle, and greenstone brooch. Tho future homo of Mr. and Mrs. Darics will be at Nga- ■ kawau.
