SOLWAY SHOW.

Amongst breeders the Solwny show is now ro'coguisctl as one of tho. principal stock' exhibitions in New Zealand, iliis is due to the energy of the JJastertoii A. and P. Association in providing special facilities for tho housing; and £ are, of stock. Tho fact that there is a railway siding at Solivnv and holding paddocks' on the, ground for stock nt once appeals to tho exhibitor from a, distance. Fresh green fodder is provided for all stock, and the exhibitor knows by past experience his valuable stock \viil rccoivc everv care. There are spacious cattlo pens, coverod-in pavilions for sheep, excellent liorse stalls, dog kennels, and a lnrgo liall for agricultural and produeo exhibits. The ground is an ideal one for the visitor. Shady nooks abound everywhere, and there is a lareo belt of beautiful bush tiironqh which there aro pleasant walks and rippling streams—making it a niodol ground for the great publio picnic, as which the Solway show has now como to be recognised. A specially attractive programme of competitions, etc., lias been drawn up for tho exhibition this year, which will bo held on February 17 and 18. A great array of trophies and special prizes will be offered this year, and record entries aro anticipated. Entries will close with the secretary, Mr. J. B. Einmett (box 40, Masterton), on Saturday, January 31, at 9 p.m.
