Church, Miss Margaret Hamilton,.fourth daughter of Mr. 'J. Hamilton,. Mount Eden, was married to Mr. G. H. j Stubbs, of Kaitaia, the Rev. R. Raim>: officiating. The bride, who was given away by her father, was gowned in white satin, veiled with silk ninon. Her veil was arranged over a filet of orange blossoms, and she- carried a bouquet of roses and Argentine ppas. Miss Bertha Hamilton, who attended her sistor as chief bridesmaid, was attired in white marquisette, finished with pink ninon and lace, whilst Miss Ivy Stnbbs, sistor of- the bridegroom, wore a dainty white frock of Indian hand-worked embroidery. The honeymoon is being spent in the South, the bride's goiug-away costume being of navy blue, with a i'.attier blue hat. ■ ..'■'■'■-■' ■-. Cambridge Wedding. v '■ • At St. Andrew's Church, Cambridge, on January 7, the wedding took place of Jliss Margaret Hilda Malins, youngest daughter of Mrs, Malins, and the late Mr. 1). Malins, of Warwickshire, England, to Mr. Charles Huge, onlv son of Mr. i<\ 1). and the late Mrs, Huge, of Cambridge, tho Kov, Mortimer Jones officiating. The bride, who was given away by her brother, was gowned in ivory satin, with a tunic drapery of crepe do chine, embroidered with pearls. She wore a veil and bandeau of orange blossoms, and carried a. shower .bonquet of whito flowers. Misses ..Birdie Hugo and Isabcll. Maycroft .svero.. attired in bridesmaids' frocks of pate blue silk, with white lace hats, and their.-bou-quets were of palest , pink, whilst-''the Misses Katie Hunt and Polly M'lCinnon .wore, ivory silk, with white silk hats, and carried baskets of flowers. Mr. C. Davis, of Te Awamutu, attended as best man, and Mr. Walter Malins as , groomsman. The bridegroom's gift to the bride was a gold-watch bracelet, and to the bridesmaids Rold brooches and bangles respectively. ' .-■ :.\ ., .-■ Karorl Croquet. The Lyall Bay Croquet Club paid their return visit to Karon 'yesterday, and were entertained to afternoon tea by the local club. In spite of the more thp.n unpleasant wind prevailing, some good play resulted. Mrs. Morrali and Mrs. Bigg (Lyall Bay) lost to Mrs. A. Hamilton and Miss Bennett after a keenly-contested and exciting game, whilst Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Stone, of the visiting team, proved victorious against Mrs. M'Eldowney ajid Mrs. Pierrard (Knrori). On Tuesday last the Karori ladies paid a visit to the Lower Hutt Club, and had a most on- i joyable afternoon, the Hutt croquet I players being the winners. Miss Teresa M'Knroe has.been staying \vith_friemls onjhe West Coast. Mrs. E. H. Waddington and family, who have been spending some weeks at Oriental Bay, have returned to Masterton. : - . Mrs. E. Wright, with her daughter, Mrs. Nott, of Queensland, is staying at "Konilworth." Mrs. Jamr-3 Allen is giving a large garden party on Saturday at-.-her rpsidonco in Diincdin, in honour of the many visitors to the University Senate which is sitting this week. Mr. and Mrs. R. H. The voyage of B.M.S. lonic seems to have been an especially pleasant one socially, to judge from tho doings of the Entertainment and Sports Committee. Xot only were whist drives, races, dances, and concerts provided, but on Christmas Day the children had a do-, lightful surprise in the form of :i Christmas tree, laden with little toy presents, and a special ten which was arranged for them by tho chief steward, Mr. James.
