Melbourne Cricket Club was continued to-day. Tho attendance was small. New Zealand made a good recovery. The', Tattersall-Sandman partnership yielded eighty-seven. Tattersall batted solidly and correctly and hit five fourers:- Sandman was vigorous, liitting six fdtlrers. Ho was missed in the long field when at twenty-five. 4'ho Melbourne Club's eleven batted briskly for seventy minutes and then declared. In New Zealand second innings Hemus and Hickmott were attractive. ' Hemus was sound and stylish and showed a variety of strokes. His innings was chancclesa and he hit ntno fourers.
