DAIRY EMPLOYEES.
'A UNION FORMED. ' 'A largely attended meeting of dairy employees was held in the Trades Hall last-night, arising out of a preliminary meeting, held Jastfc week. The following resolution'was carried.: "That this meeting of dairy employees-''-make application for registration as ail industrial union, to lie called the Wellington Dairy Employees' industrial Union of .Workers. ' /' A set of rules wns submitted to the meeting and adopted,' and the following, office-bearers -were elected :—President. Mr. M. Guy; vice-president, Mr. H. Richardson; treasurer/Mr. J. Brofi.in; lion, sec.,' Mr. E. Kennedy; trustees, Messrs. I). M. Crooks, and .PJost; committee, Messrs. ,C. Biggins, •E. Kettlewell, and H. V. Williams. , A sub-committee was set up to form demands relating to .wages, conditions of -work, etc., and to report to a subsequent .meeting. These demands will then bo.presented to the employers, and 51 request made for a conference wi J »h the -union's representatives.
