OLYMPIC TALENT UNEARTHED.

Sir,—Allow me to congratulate your correspondent, "Traveller," on his*fine performance, at Foilding station on Wednesday afternoon. To dp 150 yaTds in ten seconds, carrying weight to tlio extent of Wo Gladstone lags and, a. typewriter was- a feat to be proud of. It will bo a lasting regret to mo that although I was on the Main Trunk express on the day in question I somehow overlooked the performance. •As to the question of the train drawing Tip beyond tlio station, this is, of course, unavoidable, and happens frequently when two trains pass iit a wayside- station and when that on the, outer ■lino is late. On every other occasion on which 1 have been here at that timo tho express has been in first,. and has drawn up opposite tlio station, on tho outer line. Both were, on this occasion, very long trains, and, as it is necessary .for the rear van of "one, to clear the rear van of tlio other, tho front of the express, comprising the second-class, was some distance beyond tho station. SUII, all things being considered, "Traveller," remembering his record sprint, must have no reason to regret the causes that led to it. Incidentally I may mention that the train waited four minutes at Feilding.—l am, etc., : ' ANOTHER TRAVELLER.
