CAR CHANGES.

ON THE WELLINGTON LINES. :i - The tramway authorities intend shortly to increase tho'niimbor of 'minimum fare, cars nmniiig to Seatoun. to cope with tho heavy, traffic to that suburb at rusli hours. It.is intended to make all tho cars leaving the city for Seatoun between o p.m. 'and 6 p.m. mmimuui faro cars. These cars, leave' liaiiibton Station at 5,6,' 5.22,- and 6.52 'pVm., and' the .minimum fare'.W tbem will bo 3d. Extra- cars, to talto tha/shortdistance passengers ■ will run to Rilbirnio Post Office ahead of the minimum faro cars. The car leaving' the" Lambton Station for Miraniar at 5.1 p.mi vr.ill also ran as a mini'muto-faro carbon,and after' Monday nest; This alteration will 1 apply to all week days except Saturdays. In order to prevent. short-dis : tanco passengers inadvertently boarding minimum-fare cars; a, notice'board will bo.jjlaccd.in.front of eapli minimum-fare car. Sometimes great inconvcnience. is caused by the overcrowding.of long-dis-tance cars by short : distahco.passengers! The proposed change, whilo'moeting tlio needs' of tho long-distance passengers, will make ample provision' for those persons only going'a short distance, as ad : ditional cars are to be provided' for them. The system of running mini-mum-fare cars will probably shortly be extended to other suburban districts.
