The Rev. Mr. Cameron moved, pursuant to notice, to hold a special oxam* inatiou in March of those obtaining a partial pass ill matriculation. This was seconded guardedly by Professor Hunter, who saw difficulties-in the way "of carrying out the idea. Tho mover ought to ■ have, shown how many candidates wore given a partial pass in any year and in ■ how many subjects they had passed. . Mr. Hdgben said the proposal should bsj. received with a, great deal of caution. "\\ hen tho proper time comes wo should admit students on tho certificate.of a leading school."
