MUTUAL SLAPS.

CRICKET COUNCILS AT ODDS. By Tclejraph—Press Association—Copyrieht (Rcc. .January 21, 1.33 a.m.) Sydney, January 20. The Australian Cricket Hoard of Control lias announced that as the players concerned are evidently unaware of the fact, the New Zealand Council omitted to obtain the hoard's approval of the proposed tour when they accepted the invitation. Whilst very adverse to the encouragement of such tours, the board arrived at the conclusion that it would not at this stage bo reasonable to request the players concerned to decline the invitation. The hoard strongly resents the action of the New Zealand Council, and will, when that bodv replies fully to its communication, take steps to ensure future recognition of its authority. The board' declines to deal with Mr. Sims at all.
