ARAB FIREMAN INFECTED. By Telfsrspt—Prei; Association—Copyright Melbourne, .January 20 An Arab fireman with smallpox has been discovered ou Ixiard the I' rench mail steamer Caledonien, bound from Noumea to Marseilles, and which called at Sydney; but as the disease takes twelve days to develop, it was evidently contracted at Neiv Caledonia. The necessary precautions have becv adopted. Sydney, .January 20. There has been no case oi smallpox reported for the last ten days.
