For five years, from 1908 to 1915, Jacaba Irene, with a, yearly record-of 954 pounds of butter-fat, held tho world's record for tho Jersey breed. She has recently been replaced by tho Jersey cow Eminent's Bess, with a record of 18,732.9 pounds of milk, testing 5.12 per cent, or 962.8 pounds butterfat-.' This gives her premier place in the' breed both for milk and butter-fat production. Tho world's record for Guernseys is held by Spotswood Daisy Pearl, witi. 18,GO:!.8 pounds milk, testing 5.15 per cent, or 957.3S pounds butter-fat. Dolly Dimple holds the yearly.record of milk production for this breed with 15,805.5 pounds of milk, testing 4.66 per cent, or 876.3--1 pounds of, butter-fat. Phenomenal progress in the line of. yearly records is also being made by theAyrshire breed. Auchenbrain Brown Kate has just attained premier place-in tho breed bv completing a record "of 23,023 pounds of milk and 917.6 pounds of butter-fat. Tho brown Swiss cow College Bravura 2nd recently completed the highest yearly record for tho breed, reaching a total of 19,304.6 pounds of milk, averag ing 4.1 per cent: of butter-fat, which makes 791.85 pounds of butter-fat. ...
