POINTS' IN DISPUTE.
The Conciliation Oommißsioiicr (Mr. P. Hall.v) will to-day hear the Merchant Service Guild dispute. One dispute is between master mariners atra the owners, and tTio Etiild nidts., in respect of wages, for £28 per month where only orio mate is carried; frharo two mates are carried,' £25, f>or .'month;; and whc.ro tha master receives instructions .to kocp a sea watch oil vessels where two mates arc carried, ho shall be paid overtime at tlip rate of 3s. Od> per hour during such time as lio is on watch, Twenty-ono days' ho.liday on-full pay »ro. asked for in each year. Captains A. J. DofasM, Geo. 8. Corby, and D. J. Watson have been nominated to a-tifc as assessors, for tiio fiU'W. Tlio claim put forward by. the officers is for a minimum of £18 for first ofljeers, and £13 for sccond ollieors. with 14 days' leave on full pa}' per year. Preference is also -Aslccd for.
