Tho "Taglische Rundschau" states that in responsible circles opinion is not very hopeful regarding Prince William's (of Wied) future as Sovereign of Albania. Tho Kaiser, it is stated, urgently .sought to dissuade him from accepting the throno, but the Prince declined, as he considered himself appointed under a mandate of civilisation.
