At the Tanhefinikau Racecourse on Thursday, tho W.lirarnpa Automobile Association held tho first motor c\ycle sports meeting that has ye!; taken place in the district, and the event aroused considerable public interest. The attendance was large, and the gathering passed off without any hitch, the general! arrangements being very satisfactory. Tho racing was for the mostpart interesting, and no doubt tlie'sixlrt' lias obtained a hold isi this locality, and will increase in popularity. Mr. A. MV'Broadherit acted as starter; .-aim gave- every satisfaction in this capacity. The handicapners were Messrs. C.' Dare Bridge, Gus Torstonson, and I V Wilson.
