Levin's seaside resort, Hokio, is extremely po.pular' this summer, all the cottages being in occupation. Among tho visitors are families from Ekotahuna, Wanganui, and Palmerston North. Tho visitors spoak highly of tho place as a holiday resort.

BateSj who has been appointed by the British Government to the position of Judicial Commissioner in the Solomon Islands, arrived in Sydney last week.
