Wedding at St. Marks. On January 1 at St. Mark's Church, by the liev. C, I l '. Askew, tho marriage took place of Miss Julia Amy ■Atkinson,' second daughter of Mr. John Atkinson, of 'iVisninu Street. Wellington, to Mr.' Charles Edgar Silver, of Keel'ton, 'The bride, who was given away by -herfather, wore a pretty dress of ■■■ white silk finished with taffeta and pearl ornaments (her wreath and veil being a present from her brother in Sydney}. Sho carried, a. shower bouquet of roses and maidenhair leni. The bridesmaids wore Miss Louisa Atkinson (sister of tho bride), and Miss May Morgan, who wore gowned in whito muslin-trim-med with lace, with laco coatees,-, and hats to match relieved with palo pink. They also carried, shower bouquets of pink roses and sweet peas, the gifts oftho bride's mother. Mr. J. Rouse, of Reeftou, attended as best man, and tho groomsman was Mr. Joins Atkinson, brother of tho bride. A reception was held, after the ceremony, at St, Mark's Hall, when tho customary toasts were honoured by a largo number of guests.The bridegroom's present to tho bride was a cheque, and to tho bridesmaids wero given ;i gold bangle and pearl car-rings, tho bride giving a set of silver shaving mugs to the brid-egroom.
