Duties.—To assist the Marino Surveyor in marine and coastal topographical survey work connected with ports and harbours of Victoria, and in connection therewith to preparo drawings, charts, reports, and notices to mariners, and to assist in carrying out general engineering work when required. Qualifications.—Applicants should possess the qualifications of a civil engineer and surveyor in relation to harbour works attained under qualified engineers; practical experience in. marine and coastal topographical survey.?, and of the preparation of charts thereof; ability to take charge of and conduct marine surveys in the channels and open waters of Port Phillip Bay, and of the other coastal harbours of Victoria.; and ability to determine latitude and true bearing.
