Tho constitution, of tho Board of Agriculture will shortly bo effected. According to regulations which wore recently brought into operation tho selection of its members will bo completed within six or eight weeks. The ' appointment of this board was authorised by the Board of Agriculture Act of last ssssion. It will comprise twelve members, of whom four will bo directly nominated by the Governor, and the others appointed upon the recommendation of the agricultural and pastoral societies. Explaining the regulations this evening, tho Minister of Agriculture (.tho Jtt. Hon. W. F. Massey) said that for the purposes of the Act ■ the Dominion will bo divided into eight districts, in each of which a meeting of representatives of the societies in tho district will be convened.
