i ' A Three -• interesting magazines have como to hand per sle=sr6. Gordon and Gotch, namely, "Tho Sunday at Home," "Tim. GWs' Own Paper," and . "Tho Boys' Qnn Paper." The first-named is a tastefully-printed and arranged magazine, for Sunday reading, and tho new issue lias many articles of merit, prido of' place being givon to tlio second article of a. series entitled "Christ in tho. Home." Ono of tho most interesting articles is that by Harold Murray, describing tho wonder of Hyde Park. The glories of tho Serpentine are- shown ■ both by picture and pen, and "The Nursemaid's . Parade," the "Church Parade," and tho "Liver Brigade" aro. faithfully described. "Tho Heiigioa of a Man of Science," detailing what Lord Lister gnvo to mankind, is ono of tho many articles deaJing in a- readable manner with important subjects, whilo . suitable stories abound. Tho November number of "Hoys' Own" starts the first part of.a-new volume. A coloured plate is -included, which will delight- the heart of every boy, showing as it does the ■football colours of tho famous English, public schools. A fino new serial by the popular writer Tom Bevnn is started, entitled "The Heir of Wyselwe-od.", Judging by tho illustrations acwrn- : panying tho iirsfc instalment, tho story, abounds 'with exciting incidents, Jules Verne also starts a serial, dealing withmysterious matters, and dewHbed fts ,''tho Master of. the World," while numerous stories deal with school lifo and sports. "The Girls' Own Paper and Woman's Magazine" Las a very pretty cover, design, which comes by way of a foretaste of tha many delightful stories and articles included in the November number. "When Mother Became Interesting," by Emily Calvin Blake, is ono of these, and it is a story that should appeal to mothers and daughters alike. "Sunshine Jane," the. story of a girl with a novel mission, continues to distribute humour and wisdom from tho pages of. tho magazine.
