Three championships were decided, ,-ln the One Mile Flat .Championship the result was: S. Barnes (Auckland), 1 j H. G. M'Leod, 2; M.'Harrison, 3. Time, 4min. .274-ssec. 220 yds. Championship: W. Trembath (Southland), and T. J. O'Callaghan (Greymouth), dead heat, 1; n. H. Brinkman, 3. Time, 22 2-osee.—a record for the event. Two Miles Cycling Championship: E. Wall (Christchurch), 1: P. Griffin (Palmcrston North), 2; A. Bonus (Canterbury), 3. Time, 4niin. 54 l-ssec. The heats of the big Sheffield 120 yds. Handicap were decided, the following being eligible for the semi-linal: H. C. Burns, H. J. Mills, G. Ivinsey, L. Corby, T. J, O'Callaglian. R. CJeland, A. Williams, and R. Clark. O'Callaghnn, on tlws 3Jyds. mark, won his heat- in 112-ssec. The carnival will bo continued on Wednesday night.
